The first time I heard about Clubhouse, I thought, “The last thing I need is another social media platform to manage.”

I peeked inside just to see what the buzz was all about and ever since then, I’ve seen every day more and more people flood to the cool kids club.

The most significant observation is the power of the platform. It is an invite only app that requires an invitation. You cannot just download the app and create an account. You need an existing member to send you an invitation.

It is part podcast, part Houseparty, part social club.

As of January 24, 2021, Clubhouse’s valuation was at $1 billion[1]. The spontaneous interaction has sparked wide opportunities for everyday people to interact with investors, industry workers, media and industry leaders. According to the New York Times, the Clubhouse app has been downloaded more than 4 million times in the month of January 2021[2]
